Dragon Jasper, a Flame-related Kaleidoscope Jasper variant, lies between flame and purple flame deposits. It often displays green flames against an orange backdrop, creating distinctive scenes. This variety polishes beautifully and makes stunning cabochons. Discovered in Oregon's winter of 2007/2008, the Kaleidoscope deposit boasts diverse colors, patterns, and varieties, with Bog Wood formation being the majority. Over a dozen varieties exist, with new finds each year. Initially run by Dale Rhode, it's now continued by his son following his passing in 2021.
